Erratic Turns

A large toppled tree balances upon the crest of an erratic boulder. Mechanical birds perch on top twitch and chirp in valiant attempt to add a sense of authenticity to the constructed landscape. A manual push pivots the tree about the gallery space. The work explores our evolving relationship to the world around us, and in particular that relationship between the natural and the stand-in for nature.
